One of those days...

It's one of those days where my hands ache so bad I could weep.  TMB (too many birthdays!) degenerative arthritis - on top of that I caught my husband's cold!  I'm trying working through my discomfort because keeping my mind off of it usually helps.   What do you do to get past the pain?

This is NOT a photo I like to see. I'm so sorry you are working in pain or dealing with it at all. You've had a heck of a bad few months. Working through the pain depends on the pain. Sometimes (like with my head) sleep is the only way out. Maybe you can find a gentler painting mode -- a finger painting with broad strokes (maybe sans braces!)It's tough to find art that doesn't really use the hands...

Oh, wish I could make it all better!

Oh ouch! I'm sorry that you aren't (or weren't) feeling well. I hope that things are getting better for you. As for what I do to get through the pain, I shift my focus in other directions. I have arthritis in my hips and shoulders, and I'm one of the lucky ones that pain medication has no effect on.

Feel better!

I'm sorry about the pain. I hope you're feeling better. I've been having some hand pain lately, and I found these stretches. Maybe they might help, I've been doing them, but I'm not sure yet if anything I'm trying is working. There seems to be some improvement, but I'm not really sure what is wrong with my hands (I'm going to see a doctor if there isn't significant improvement soon).
