Just Be...

Life Book 2014 Week 30 led by Carissa Paige.  We are to create a college include image transfer and affirmation.

Images of women from my stash, scanned, converted to B&W, resized, printed on deli paper, transferred with matte medium.

A wonderful quote I found by Dean Jackson - paper tag created in Photoshop Elements 11 with added text

Tag stitched in place.  (I haven't used my sewing machine in almost 2 months!  It seemed appropriate to stitch something down on my collage.)

What Day Is It?

Life Book 2014 Week 29 led by Marieke Blokland.  We are to use mixed media and draw something representing the here and now.

I love the quote by A.A. Milne

"What day is it?"
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
"My favorite day," said Pooh.

The Sacred Eye

Life Book 2014 Week 28 led by Tamara Laporte.  We are to draw a sacred eye which contains self affirmations.

I had never heard of the Sacred Eye before.  Have you?  According to Google: "In ancient Greece, the "All Seeing Eye" was originally a symbol of The Divine Maat, the Goddess of Truth and Judgment."

I am quite pleased with my drawing!

Catching up...

Now that my studio is finished, I can create art once again.

Life Book 2014 Week 25 led by Effy Wild.  We are to work in layers and limit ourself to 15 minutes a layer.   Effy's theme is "Reverse Excavation."

I'm way behind - just trying to catch up.  It's wonderful to leave the chaos of the move behind and have fun.  I admit it - I didn't work 15 minutes at a time.  Once I'm in the zone, I'm off and running.
