Bed Head/Sleep Patterns

Life Book 2015, Week 22, led by Jeanne Oliver.  We are to draw a face using charcoal and white gesso incorporating patterns into the work.

I don't want to name names, but last night someone in my house was SNORING (and it wasn't me - at least last night it wasn't me).  Finally, I moved to another room and slept on a roll-a-way bed we bought for an occasion such as this.

This morning I felt out of sorts and tired...  Luckily, the snoring is not a nightly occurrence.  Tonight I want to sleep in my bed :-)

Apple of My Eye...

Life Book 2015, Week 21 led by Lynn Whipple and Tamara Laporte.  Working in lights and darks, we are to draw an apple.

I'm not sure if my dark side or light side came out while drawing my apple...you decide.

Making My Mark...

Lifebook 2015, Week, 20, led by Jenny Doh.  We are to make marks in any fashion we choose.

Acrylic paint, ink, gesso added to background  in a slap dash fashion.   I could see a face in top ink blot. With that in mind, I thought what would happen if I were to "connect" a few blots and draw a figure using the tip of an ink dropper and India ink...

Wake up!

Life Book 2015, Week 19, led by Jessica Swift.  We are to make hand carved stamps for a journal page.  The theme is contrast - light/dark.  (I paraphrased a favorite quote by Andy Andrews.)
