Grateful...

Life Book 2014 Week 17 led by Tasha Parkinson. We are to create a journal page about what we are grateful for at this moment in time.

We just put our house up for sale. Amazingly, we had a signed contract in less than 24 hours! We've already found a new place to buy, made an offer and it was accepted. Inspections on both places have been conducted. Soon we will pack up and move. We are still reeling over the speed at which these transactions took place - and very HAPPY!

Animal Stax...

I have been so busy getting the house ready to put up for sale, that I haven't spent much time in my studio creating art. I decided enough is enough...

Life Book 2014 Week 15 led by Tamara Laporte. We are to create a totem pole comprised of quirky animals.

My animals are so quirky, it's hard to determine what they are. For example, the top figure in my mind was a hippopotamus - it turned out more ape like and looks like a gorilla - go figure! The same thing happens when I think of a tune. In my head it sounds fabulous - I open my mouth and the sound that comes out is nothing and I mean NOTHING like the tune in my head!

It was mindless fun and tomorrow I will continue to clean up, throw out and donate!

Getting Ready to Move...

Life Book 2014 Week 14 led by Dyan Reaveley. We are to create a whimsical Springtime journal page.

After 14 years in this neighborhood, my husband and I are getting ready to sell our home. It's stressful time. There is so much to do to get the house ready. Mostly cosmetic type things - but still time consuming. I didn't have much time to devote to this journal page...excuses, excuses, I know! I'm already behind with Life Book 2014.
