Boat Over Troubled Waters....

Week 27 of Life Book 2013 is led by Tamara Laporte.  Tam's theme is "Embracing All of You."  We are to draw ourselves in a boat; mixed media background; focus on our good and bad.  (I do not share these traits publicly.)

Getting started

Rough draft

finished work
Somewhere along the way, the waves were lost.  Does that mean I am beginning to calm down?

I've got to learn to let go and move on!  I still get the heebee jeebies over things that happened a gazillion years ago.  These are the things that keep me awake at night.  Can you relate?

I love this. I love the analogy that your waves are calming down. Mine are too. Storms will come again though I'm sure.

This is great. Storms and calm seem to go together. Enjoy the calm!

I'm glad you seem to have calmed dowen but the green hair rather belies that!
Fortunately my dreams are no longer disturbed by the past - I just wish they wouldn't be disturbed by the future either.

I've found that confronting things head on helps to minimize their power over me. Perhaps you have learned this to? :)

Very interesting piece. So creative. - I've heard the term mixed media before but I have no idea how one goes about creating such a piece. I find them fascinating.

Great job! I can definitely relate; I can lie awake thinking of things that happened so long ago they no longer matter to anyone but me.
