Soups on!

Tonight we have dear friends joining us for dinner.   They spend 2-3 months in Naples escaping the cold Chicago winter.  Since it's a bit cool here tonight - at least for my husband and me (our guests think it's more like spring!),  I'm making a simple meal of soup (Ina Garten's Winter Minestrone), salad and dessert, of course!

A lovely self portrait! That meal sounds delicious. I will be visiting Chicago this coming week for the first time! I hope the weather is decent!

I sure like your kind of fun as it sounds like it is the perfect way to be with friends as I'm sure you won't even notice the cold with all that lovely cooking.

Regards,
Karla
