Pop, Pop, Pop Up!

Life Book 2014 Week 7 led by Jane Davenport.  Using a variety of materials, we are to create pop up figures representing characteristics we like not only in others, but ourselves as well.

My words are TRUST, DARING and JOYFUL.  I had a bit of trouble getting my pop-ups to stand properly inside the book page...maybe I'll try again one day (I doubt it!)

Almost there...

I'm getting closer and closer to the finish line of this FB Gritty Jane challenge...

When was the last time you drew a goofy little picture?  The best part is there are no bad drawings - give it a try!!

sweet stuff...

I'm multi-tasking in the studio today.  While waiting for some paint to dry on a drawing, I've been "writing" on some photos.  (Normally, this is a flourish I add to my drawings.)  It's fun to add an unexpected something to a photo...don't you think?

Original photo taken on Victoria by the Sea, PEI.

Ink Blots....

Life Book 2014 Week 6 led by Tamara Laporte.  We are to create a portrait incorporating ink blots made from spray-on inks.

It's a messy process, but someone has to do it!

40 Portrait Challenge (continued)

Drawing with my right hand or left hand - it does not seem to matter.  I'm glad there are only to be 40 portraits for this challenge as I am seriously addicted!  I'm having a hard time concentrating on...just about everything else.  One minute I think I'll never have another idea for a portrait and the next thing I know...

Here are #21-28 for Gritty Jane's 40 Portrait Challenge...

I know moms are not to have favorite children, but I really love #21 and #25.  Do you have a favorite? Let me know which one and why!
