Anything Goes cont'd...

One can never have too much texture - at least I find it makes a painting more interesting.

Addition of more texture to this drawing - (created for an art swap)

no drawing - just paint, paint, paint...

sweet stuff...

I'm multi-tasking in the studio today.  While waiting for some paint to dry on a drawing, I've been "writing" on some photos.  (Normally, this is a flourish I add to my drawings.)  It's fun to add an unexpected something to a photo...don't you think?

Be True To You...

Week 4 of Life Book 2014 led by Kelly Hoernig.  We are to create a journal page incorporating things we love and, if possible, include our word for the year.

I love to sew, read a good book, smell the flowers, create texture and mail!  I know it's silly, but I look forward to seeing the mail truck every day.

Caged Birds

The dolls I've been working on the last couple of weeks are now complete.

I needed to come up with a name for each these girls.  My daughter, Jennifer, had a brilliant idea - name them Maya and Angelou.  Why didn't I think of that?  (In all honesty, I had never heard of Maya Angelou's poem "Caged Bird.")
