Waiting...

"Waiting for the Phone to Ring"...surely I'm not the only one who has experienced this!

I've done all the work I can do - now tag, wrap, box up paintings, note card, Christmas ornaments for the Christmas bazaar this weekend.

Plan B

Our tradition is to put up our Christmas tree on the day after Thanksgiving.  This year we had to switch to Plan B.

My husband had a bunionectomy several weeks ago.  He's limping around with a huge boot on his foot.

We store our Christmas tree and other seasonal decorations in the garage attic.  There is no way he could get up that ladder and pass things down to me and I'm not good with ladders - thus - Plan B.
I bought some wire wreath forms and garlands - JoAnns had a big sale yesterday.  We strung the wire wreaths together hanging them on a dress form.  (I come up with the brilliant ideas - my husband helps me implement them.  He's a very good sport.  Also, he's been bored to tears since he cannot move around very well.  This turned out to be a welcome diversion.)

I was anxious to take photos.  I'm sure she will look delightful at night when the houses lights are off and her skirt is all aglow.

The addition of lights on the necklace and red ornaments filled out the skirt better - I'm calling her done now.

I doubt if I can find a Christmas stocking to cover his boot...

Trick or Treat...

We have tons a little kids (and some not so little) in our new neighborhood.  There are so many  Halloween decorations in trees and yards...it put me in the mood to draw some creepy faces.

Time to Celebrate!

"Chains do not hold a marriage together.  It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads, which sew people together through the years..."

Today we celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary.  Color me happy!

Painted water color paper, cut holes on the side; stitched down a heart cut from a small quilt I made.

Messing Around...

My husband, Richard, is truly a good sport.  I was messing around with my camera and asked him to help me with a selfie.  We were mugging for the camera having a great old time.  We started out the New Year with a laugh.  I hope you did too!

Star of Christmas

I love our little Christmas tree. It sits on a table in the living room.  I leave the lights on all day - so enchanting!  The tree is trimmed with red star garlands - they sparkle and make me smile.
