What a fabulous alternative! I saw them do something similar with a dress form on Home and Family TV show (homeandfamily.com, I think). They used a chicken wire framed, wrapped faux green roping, tucking it into the spaces to hold it in place. It was remarkably ingenius -- then they decorated the bust part. Yours is looking really good. If I had room, I'd love to try this!
