Homage to St. Catherine of Bologna
Did you know that St. Catherine of Bologna is the patron saint of artists? I created a little shrine in her honor. I made little books containing my artwork to fill the niches. I love making art dolls. I have created "boxed dolls" in the past, but never thought about making a shrine. This week I gave myself permission to do just that.
My materials were simple: foam core board, masking tape, aluminum foil, plaster wrap, Paperclay®, acrylic paint, Aquacolor® crayons, beads, charms, wire, springs, wood dowel - Voila!
I am absolutely thrilled with the way she turned out.
