I'm in the midst of packing up my studio. Supplies are hard to come by. I have kept a few water color crayons, brushes, pencils and acrylic paint handy otherwise I am dumpster diving looking for bits and pieces to include on my pages - a challenge for sure!
I was not thrilled with the dimensional flowers I created. Outlining - bad idea!! A layer of gesso over top helped a bit. I found some discarded tags in my wastebasket, painted them black, folded them over and stitched into position. These tags now serve as tabs to hold my accordion embellishment in place - I want keep the letter to myself private. (Just in case you were wondering - I do NOT have purple hair or green eyes!)

Sometimes having very little to work with stretches us in a direction we would otherwise not go. I see a beautiful page, nothing close to what you describe, but we are our own worst critics.
Sometimes being limited in your supplies makes it challenging, but also sometimes more creative as well.
A wonderful idea and everything we do in journaling is so personal...
I admire you ability to create. My muse comes and goes. :)
I think it's a lovely page!
Love the purple hair and green eyes - and the lively flowers and lines around her.
